The Cascades have seen 83 inches of snow since February 22nd, and after some rain the other day in Roslyn / Cle Elum area it is again snowing. There was so much snow in the Cascades that I-90 was shut down for 70 miles the other day. If you can get there, it is great time to go to Roslyn and enjoy the winter weather.
Heavy snowfall has been hitting the area as of late, and 1-90 was closed for a couple hours Monday due to dangerous routes. Roslyn nor Cle Elum were accessible from approximately 11:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., when DOT reported all lane were open again. Nearly 8 inches of snow had fallen since early Monday and over 70 miles of 1-90 was closed. Although the interstate is open once again, be careful on your commutes to Roslyn and Cle Elum as there is still a lot of snow in the area.
